EPROM and other integrated devices

09D3000000 - EPROM Eraser
The need for an EPROM Eraser comes from that many of the older ECU are equipped with DIL memories (for example 27C256), which can be erased even by a prolonged exposure to UV-C rays. ALIENTECH EPROM Eraser has a timer function which allows you to schedule a deletion, avoiding any damage to the device.
14A057SWPS - SWITCH SOP/DIL
SWITCH SOP/DIL is an electronic module to be mounted in the ECU which allows you to replace the original EPROM with another one of the same type but double sized, in order to load two different map files within the memory, with the possibility to exchange each other in real time.
These are the main features of this electronic module:
- a small size, corresponding to a PCB with a 1x2.5 cm area
- it can be used not only on DIL memories (i.e. Dual In Line, those with a traditional assemblage) but also on FLASH SOP memories (Small Outline Package: for ex. 29F200)
- easy-to-use. Mechanical configuration of the module is no longer needed and a comprehensive manual shows how to use the module properly on the right EPROM.
SWITCH SOP/DIL suits perfectly to all those procedures requiring different kinds of mappings, such as:
- Bi-fuel engines, so it is possible to mount a switch in the interior and select - in real time and while the engine is running - the map for the fuel in use
- Particular race requirements, in which two different maps can make the difference
- Other common requirements, such as the need to have two different mappings according to external environmental factors or the type of road you should take (a cold hill of a mountain rather than a sunny summer beach)
